The Odd Couple 2007

Well, this could be interesting.

Bluegrass diva Alison Krauss and the old lemonsqueezer Robert Plant, together again for the first time. Produced by T-Bone Burnett, no less.

I think I need to hear this. And may I simply say for the record that Krauss has gotten quite gorgeous of late? Anybody know how that happened? Did she suddenly get a better stylist or what?

Botox in the forehead for certain. Maybe collagen lips?

It's too bad, I liked her unadorned prettiness before. Now she looks less natural.

I think there's a 1.5 to 3-year window once you start in with the plastic surgery where it isn't necessarily awful. Once you have to start doing upkeep on the initial procedures, your appearance gets progressively more bizarre.

Regardless, she still has a sweet voice and tremendous talent.

Don't know about Alison, but I can tell you the album is definitely worth a listen. Plant and Krauss do not duet on every song on this album, but their voices mesh wonderfully on those that they do. Nice cover of "Fortune Teller" (best known from the Who and Stones versions),but the entire album is really quite enjoyable.

They've been playing it on this station out of Mendocino. Sounds not bad.

Jeez...she's only 36 fercryinoutloud. She's allowed to still look good.

That said, her earlier publicity pictures have that frumpy look that (one guesses) bluegrass fans like.
