Ooo! Ooo, ooo!

Courtesy of Pitchfork Media:
Teenage Fanclub are set to hit up the North American road this summer in support Man-Made, their latest release on Merge Records. The Scots have not ventured into North America too often in their career, last coming ashore in 2001 for a five-city tour. But with a new album comes a new tour, and here they come. Labelmates the Rosebuds will open throughout the tour.

This band is a ton of fun. I've never seen them live, but Thers has seen them open for Redd Kross, so you know that has to be good.

Ahem. Not to be my typical know-it-all self, but I think noble Thersites may be mistaken when he recalls seeing Teenage Fanclub open for Redd Kross (unless he saw a Redd Kross show I missed, which is highly unlikely!). I'll bet a round at the New Pornographers show that he's thinking of the Posies.

The McDonald brothers starred in Desperate Teenage Lovedolls and the sequel, Lovedolls Superstar.

For these sins against cinema, they were encased in a crystal and shot into space. Don't encourage them by mentioning them. They might film again!!

Both of which we own... on VHS. But we have their starring turn in Spirit of '76 on DVD.

I always liked how Redd Kross would think he was having a heart attack and would tell his dead wife he was coming to join her.
